Clair Smith is passionate about economic education. He currently teaches at St. John Fisher College and has previously taught at Penn State University, Bowling Green State University, and George Mason University. He is interested in the Economics of Higher Education, Public Choice, and Law & Economics. Smith was once a D.C. lawyer, and in his younger days dabbled seasonally in retail, landscaping, and Christmas tree sales. In bios, he bows to the convention to mention the he enjoys reading, music, and exercise, regardless of the veracity of those claims. He earned a B.A. in Economics from Grove City College and M.A., J.D., and PhD. from George Mason University. He lives in Fairport with his wife and two children.
